Clarisonic Mia Review & How I take off my makeup

After finally purchasing and testing out the clarisonic I can finally give you guys my honest opinion about this product. So let's get started...

First of all, the clarisonic retails for $140 and it comes in 9 colors!!! Including the cute leopard one (which is $5 more -_-) I got the cute lavender one :) lol, but thankfully clarisonic was giving employees an extra 20% off to try it out, so I was lucky enough to get it for $100. It's still a bit pricey, but I do recommend trying it out for yourself and if you're not satisfied go ahead and bring it back!
The first day I ever tried the clarisonic, my face felt so good! I usually only wash my face in the shower since it get so messy washing my face in the sink, so I normally take off my makeup with makeup wipes and eye makeup remover. Normally it was enough for me since my skin not sensitive at all. But I did notice that I started breaking out a little on my forehead, so I was even more excited to try out the clarisonic. Immediately after washing my face with the clarisonic, I noticed how much make up was still on my face! The next morning after I washed my face with the clarisonic again and applied my makeup, I noticed that my makeup went on so much more smoothly. Especially my pores, black heads, and white heads weren't as noticeable as before. This thing is the best invention they have ever made hands down! I can't go back to washing my face with just face wash and my hands anymore. & let me add that it feels like a mini facial, i love it!

Now let's move on to how I was my face and you can see exactly what I'm talking about.
After a long day at work with all my makeup on!
I use The Body Shop's Tea Tree Skin Cleansing Facial Wash (I'll do a seperate review for this), Neutrogena's Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes, Sonia Kashuk Eye Makeup Remover, and a few cotton squares.

I always start off by taking off all my eye makeup first, making sure I get off any mascara and eyeliner off.

Then I use the neutrogena's cleaning towelettes to take off the rest of my face and any residue that was left from the eye makeup remover.
This is after taking off all my makeup, before the clarisonic.

Then I wet my clarisonic bristles and add a little face cleanser on to the brush head. I start with my forehead and just kind of work the clarisonic in circular motions for 20 seconds, then my chin for 20 seconds, and my cheeks for 10 seconds each. The clarisonic turns off automatically when 60 second are up, and you're finished! And just look at how much makeup was still on my face!! And to think that I used to sleep with that still on my face at night! What was i thinking!! lol
and this is after, I didn't add any moisturizer or anything yet, i just let down my hair. But as you can tell, my face looks so much more brighter and luminous.

I absolutely love this product! I hope this was some how helpful. Enjoy :)

**these pictures were taken with my phone, so please excuse the quality :) thanks

Shellac First Timer!!!

 w/ flash
 no flash
 no flash
w/ flash

I usually don't get manicures at the salon, I'm the type of girl that actually like doing their own nails. But lately, I've been super busy that I haven't been able to actually take the time to do my nails. That's probably the reason why I haven't been posting some nail posts in awhile. So I was over it! I wanted to try shellac out!!

I first heard of shellac from my cousin's and my sister, they always get their nails done and they always rave about how they love it! Basically it's like a regular nail polish but in gel form! NO DRY TIME! How awesome is that?! Between the coats of base, polish, gel, polish, top gel, you let the polish dry by the UV lamps. When you're finished...you're finished. I can reach into my bag without worrying about messing up my new manicure! It's also my real  nail. And they (my cousins & websites) says it even makes your actual nails grow healthier and stronger. I always strayed away from getting my nails done, since I hated how acrylic's peeled off half my nails and my nails would be paper thin.

It's been about 16 hrs. Not long, but definitely not something a regular manicure would be able to handle. I washed many many many many dishes, at work I sanitized my hands many many many many many times, washed many makeup brushes, and cleaning. Tomorrow I have a really busy day so we'll see how that goes. But so far so good, I got them done at my local nail salon, usually they charge $30 but the place I went to charged $25, downside of that salon..there wasn't a huge selection to choose from and it was hard to see the color in a white bottle with a small circle. Apparently, according to my sister other nail salons have bigger/better selection. Oh yeah...Shellac is also known as Soak Off Gel

The only thing is..how long will I be able to stick to this color. I usually get sick of my nail colors within a few days! Especially when I have more time on my hands. Give you guys a next update on these in 2 weeks! :)

Hope you guys had a great 4th of July!!!!

MUFE Aqua Eyes Review

So I finally got around to trying this eyeliner out. I usually stick to cream liners since I like how smooth and precise the cream liners come out. One day I was in a rush and did not have time to do my winged liner that I always do, so I busted this bad boy out hoping this would not smudge on me since I have super oily eyelids. I gave up on eyeliner pencils years ago, but after that night I am in love with this pencil! Totally worth $18, if you have oily eye lids like me, this will be your best friend! It lasted all night! I used it during work one time with no UDPP and it stayed just how I applied it before work! Amazzzzzinng! And to really see if it really is waterproof, I went to Great America a few days ago and I wore this eyeliner with MUFE's Smoky Lash Mascara in Waterproof. And it did not budge!! Throughout the whole day!! I was so in shock, it stayed even in my waterline! Can't believe I didn't give this a try before.

Please Note: I DID NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. This was part of my gratis that I got from work, but I will be purchasing this product once I run out and I definitely would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a really good waterproof liner!

Key Largo Review

Like I said before, these pictures do not give this blush it's true color. This is my favorite blush!! Perfect for summer!! It's such a pretty pinky coral!! And literally a little bit goes a long way!! I've been using this blush for 2-3 weeks almost every time I come into work and I barely made a dent...it doesn't even look like I even touched it. It's that pigmented. Once I can find a lighting that will actually pick up the true color on my face, I will post it. Oh yeah...if I didn't mention before this blush is called Key Largo by Cargo. Cargo I believe is only carried in Sephora inside JCPenney's. Sephora.com doesn't carry cargo, and I haven't been in a freestanding Sephora in a while so I'm not too sure if they have it.

Stay tuned!! I will be purchasing the GLO Smile and the Clarisonic Mia in the next two weeks! Stay tuned for my reviews and my thoughts about them!!

NARS vs. MUFE & FOTD

During this past week I've been trying out Make Up Forever's HD Liquid Foundation. It's my go-to foundation for my clients unless they state otherwise. My shade is 153. If you guys have read my foundation routine blog then you guys know that I use NARS Sheer Glow as my foundation. And to be completely honest, for my skin...I prefer NARS over MUFE. The MUFE seemed to break me out! :( And it just made my skin look dry and flakey when I have super oily skin. The NARS sheer glow seems to actually stay on my face for a really long period of time. On my full 8 hr shifts my make-up still looks good! And when I used MUFE, it was as if my make-up only stayed on for only 8 hrs. After 8 hrs, it just seemed to slide off. No bueno! What I really like about NARS' sheer glow is that it brightens up my face. It makes my face look glowy, like a dewy look without looking too oily.

Here's a little FOTD:
I used my 88 Coastal Scents Palette. Enjoy!

Quick Nail Post

Sorry! I've been super busy!! I worked 6 days straight and had to babysit. I am super drained, but I have the next 3 days off ...phew! This is just off of my macbook, I used China Glaze's White on White and OPI's Navy Shatter

Review: Sephora Rouge Cream Lipstick

I don't have the lipstick with me, but this is Sephora's lipstick. Yes, sephora! A lot of people underestimate sephora's make-up collection. It's good quality and cheaper!! (<--mainly talking about their eye shadows and lip liners/lip sticks) I love their lip sticks! This color is R12 and their lip sticks are super creamy and they it has great color pay off! These lip sticks don't try out my lips and they actually stay on for a good period of time...that's if you're not constantly eating and drinking. This lipstick retails for $12 so why not! The next time you're in Sephora, check out Sephora's lip sticks and such, I'm sure you'll find a few things you like!

Enjoy!

Next best thing!!! Haul?

So yesterday I had training with our beauty educator. We usually get trained once a month about different products and such. I absolutely love my job. I don't meant to brag, but it has just been a blessing to be able to be doing something I love. I learn such new great things everyday at work! Anyways...I received gratis (free make-up to try out so we can make sales) and I just wanted to share with you guys what I got and I will be doing reviews for most if not all of these products after I try them out.
A mini travel size of MUFE Waterproof Smoky Lash Mascara, MUFE Smoky Lash in Extra Black Mascara, MUFE Lab Shine Lip Gloss in S4, MUFE's HD Powder, and MUFE's Travel Size HD Primer
Buxom's New Amplified Lash Mascara in Loud Black, Stila's New Forever Your Curl Mascara, MUFE's Aqua Eyes in 0L, and CARGO's Blush (I'll have to check during work what this blush is called since sephora's website doesn't carry cargo idk why not and it's not on cargo's website either)
MUFE's lipgloss in S4. This color looks like a really nice summer coral. I love MUFE's lip glosses, they're super shiny, but it's not thick at all! And it's not too sticky like how regular MAC Lipglosses are. Love love love!

I know in the first picture with all the other products this blush looks orange, it was super hard trying to get the true color of this blush! It's also a very peachy coral color that's has that hint of pink in it! I've tried this blush on different clients/customers and I always wanted to purchase this exact color! If you see it in person it might be a little intimidating, but this blush is literally going to last you forever! You only need one tap for each cheek, it's super pigmented. I'm for sure going to do a review for this product.

Let me know which reviews you want to see first! :)
Enjoy!

Smokey Blues and Lavenders

Hm...maybe I should do a few FOTD when I do my make-up? What do you think? Usually, I'm on the go by the time I have time to take pictures, but when I do I'll definitely post them. Here's just two looks from the past two days. And please don't mind my eyeliner...I know that one liner is thicker than the other, I usually don't concentrate on getting them identical. My eyes are weird, one eye has more eyelids than the other, and the other is almost a monolid. -_- I hate it, but you have to work with what you got!

I used Deep Truth by MAC for the blue. I added a hint of pink in the crease, I'm not too sure if you can tell in these pictures. I used NYX's White cream base, I'll do a full review soon.

Here I used a mixture of palettes, some coastal scents, MAC, Urban Decay.

Let me know if you guys want to see some tutorials, I'll only do some if you guys care for them. :) Hope you guys enjoyed!

Red Shatter

I applied a base, and 2 coats of Temptation Carnation by China Glaze

I wanted to try to get the pretty iridescent color in the picture, but this was the best I could do. This nail polish is really sheer, I normally use this over a nude pink. It has a gold and pink sheen.
The OPI Shatter cracks so much better than the china glaze. I don't know if it's just me, or if it's the way I'm applying it, but I'll do a comparison of the two soon.

Enjoy!

Matte Extravaganza

I am officially in love!!! Essie's Matte About You is definitely something I would repurchase when I run out. My addiction for nail polish has sky rocketed. I never felt so obsessed over my nails, I always had the urge to buy new nail polishes just so I could paint my nails a new color! Well...I guess it's time to start rediscovering my old nail polishes to try with my new top coat.

I love how new nail polishes glide on the nails. In my opinion, I feel that when I paint my nails with new nail polish that I give myself the most perfect manicure ever! (well...close to perfect) :)

Enjoy!

Today's Pick-Ups

Today I visited Ulta and picked up DS Extravaganza Nail polish by OPI ($10), NYX's Eyeshadow Base in white ($6.99), and finally what I've been wanting to get my hands on, Essie's Matte About You top coat. I'll do a review on the eye shadow base in maybe a week.

My work make-up routine

^^this picture is after 5-7 hours of work
This is going to be my full face routine for work. BE AWARE that I do not wear this much make-up on a day-to-day basis. I only wear this much make-up for work. I usually go out with barely any make-up at all, or if I do have any make-up on, it's just eyeliner, my brows, a bit of concealer, and my MSF.

After moisturizing my clean bare face and hands, I apply this Smashbox Photo Finish in Light ($36). I really like this product, it keeps my make-up on all day! I might have to change my primer tho, my skin seems to be getting a bit more dry, especially around my nose, so it's starting to make my foundation slide off around my nose area. Not a cute look!

After the primer sets into my skin, I use my Nars Sheer Glow Foundation in Barcelona ($42). I like to apply my foundation with the Sephora Profession Platinum Foundation Brush #56 ($32). I love the way this brush applies my foundation, it's the perfect size to fit into the creases of my nose and it buffs the foundation to a flawless finish. For the foundation itself it's a very light-weight foundation. It does not feel too heavy on the face. My skin tends to get super oily throughout the day, but this foundation doesn't make me look extra oily at all. It gives me a really nice dewy look. I get compliments from customers all the time about my foundation.
I totally forgot to take a picture of my concealer! oops!! But for my concealer under my eyes and my redness around the nose, I use Cover FX Cream Foundation in M60 Cafe au Lait ($42). I literally only use a few taps with my finger under my eyes and I just tap it onto my dark under eyes and around the nose, then I use the Sephora Professional Platinum Concealer Airbrush #57 ($24) to blend the concealer out. M60 is a shade lighter than my actual skin tone since I love the whole brightening effect. It helps me look more awake.

After, I set my foundation and concealer in with MAC's Mineralize Skinefinish Natural in Medium Dark ($28) with the Sephora Mineral Powder Brush #45 ($26).

I always have to contour my face! I like to shape out my fat cheeks and big forehead. This is my favorite bronzer! NYC Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny ($2.99). And for the price! Score!!! It's a matte finish which I really like. Sephora has a new matte bronzer as well that I'm dying to try out. I like to use my Costco Angled Brush. It's not too dense and not too fluffy, it's packs on the right amount onto the hollows of my cheekbones.

It depends on the look on which blush I use, but if it's just a simple look, my favorite go-to blush would be MAC's Mineralize Blush in Warm Soul ($22). It's a nice rosey color. It has shimmer and a gold sheen to it, this blush goes with any skin color! I like to apply it with the Sigma F10 brush.

As for the eyes, I like to fill in my brows with MAC's Eyeshadow in Espresso ($14.50) with Sigma's Flat Eye brush. My eyelids get super oily during the day, so it's a MUST for me to prime my eyes with Urban Decay's Primer Potion. I only have the little sample size that came in the Naked Palette, hate this packaging! Can't wait to finish mine and get the one in the tube. Anyways...UDPP helps my lids from getting oily and making my eyeliner and eyeshadow crease or fade throughout the day. I use MAC's Fluidline in Blacktrack ($15). Once I finish with my blacktrack fluidline I'm going to try MUFE's Aqua Cream Liner.
And last but not least, I've been using this d.j.v beautenizer mascara ($24). So far so good, doesn't clump, flake, gives volume to my lashes. Not great, but so far I like it.

Hope you guys enjoyed!! :)
