Review: Sephora Color Palette

Over the weekend this palette from Sephora went on sale. I have heard good things about this palette and was planning on buying it anyways, I found it online for 50% off, so we were able to match the price at my work. It retails for $24, and it was only $12 on sale. You get 32 wearable eyeshadows, 3 blushes & 1 bronzer, and 16 lip glosses. All the colors in this palette is very wearable for anybody!

Here's just a few quick swatches of a few eye shadows. LOOK AT THAT MATTE BLACK! Super pigmented. When I first used it, I was super surprised! These did not have a base underneath! Colors are buildable.

Swatches of a few of the lip glosses. I really like the first lip gloss. (1st row, 3rd one down in palette)
A swatch of a blush and bronzer, the two other blushes didn't really show up on my arm, it was a bit too light for me, but they would make really nice highlighters for the cheekbones.

I really do recommend this palette to anyone, especially if you're just starting. Good price, good quality, and wearable. Colors are super easy to blend.

Here's the first look I tried with this palette.
Hope you guys enjoyed!

NOTD: Nudey Shatter

OPI Black Shatter, INM Out The Door Top Coat, OPI Dulce De Leche

I used two coats of Dulce De Leche. I like the OPI shatter better than the China Glaze. The black shatter seems to shatter better, maybe it's the brush. I love OPI's nailbrushes, I literally only need to swipe my nails 3 times to cover my whole nail.

By ear: So I've heard OPI came out with more shatter nail colors! I believe it's in some kind of Serena Williams kit? I will be on the look out for these and will do an update & review if/when I get them. Also, they are coming out with 3 more for the Sephora by OPI line as well. They have 3 colors black (as usual), a silver, and a gold.

Hope you guys enjoy!

First Impressions

This is a new idea of mine.  Let me know what you think about these kinds of blog posts. I do not own any of the products I am going to talk about. I will talk about exactly what I first thought about the product.

The first one would have to be Tokidoki's Gelato Lip Balm Stains. I have tried 3 out of the 4 stains. When I first saw this product I didn't think much of it. I thought it wasn't going to be something worth buying. Let me add that this retails for $9 each. They come in 4 shades, Ciao Ciao (clear), Donutella (sheer coral strawberry), Pink Martini (sheer hot pink), and Skeletrina (sheer grape). I have tried all of them except the clear one. My co-worker was the one to insist to try it, I first tried Skeletrina. It glided on like a regular lip balm, if you apply one coat it's a very sheer subtle color. But if you apply more than one coat, the color builds up which I really like. Lately, my lips have been super chapped so I haven't been wearing lipstick since I'm scared it's just going to dry out my lips even more and I can't stand it when my lips are chapped. It gives my lips just enough moisture. And to be surprised, it actually does stain your lips! Not for long...I would say the color lasts for about 3-4 hours. My favorite out of the 4 shades would be Donutella, it's a very pretty color! Perfect for summer time! And for only $9...I think I'll just have to buy all of them except the clear one. If you're near a Sephora definitely check out one of these lip balms (don't forget to ask an employee to sanitize the product for you...nothing is more disgusting than gliding another person germs on your lips...yuucckk!)

Here's another Tokidoki product, Devi Girl Cromatico Palette. This just recently came out. I was expecting a little more from Tokidoki since their e/s are super pigmented and bright! I love the 3 neutral colors on the left, I thought I was going to love the whole palette since the purple and the blue look amazing in the set. But I swatched the 3 e/s on the right (without a base) and they were not pigmented as the neutrals. I'll have to double check how they go on with a base. This product retails for $28, and in my opinion, I would probably pass. I could live without this, since I already have the Naked palette by Urban Decay I don't think I need anymore neutral e/s for awhile. If the purple and teal e/s were a bit more pigmented I'd be sold! And for the little plastic tote it comes with...to be honest I can careless about it. Just my opinion.

The last product would be Marc Jacobs Eau So Fresh perfume. When I first smelled this...I literally fell in love! This retails for $70 for a 2.5 oz and $85 for a 4.25 oz. If you like that soft clean, but floral smell, you'll probably like this scent. You literally need only 2-3 sprits, the smell really clings onto you. I usually spray myself twice, around the neck area right before I start work and by the time I hit the sheets, I can still smell the scent lingering. I will definitely be purchasing this in the near future!

Hope you guys enjoyed! Don't forget to subscribe! :)

Do you lilac it on the fault line?

My long lost love. I almost forgot how much I love this lavender purple by OPI. Do you lilac it? The perfect spring time color! I topped off my ring finger with Crackle Glaze On the fault line...hence the name of this blog. Do you lilac it is a very sheer lavender color, I applied 3 coats to make it a bit more opaque.

Enjoy!

A little something about myself.

Hi everyone!
My names Kim and this is my very first time "blogging" and I guess you can say reviewing things so bare with me. I love make-up, doing hair, and my current obsession is nail polish. I am currently working at Sephora and I'm planning to get my cosmetology license.
My main purpose of this blog is to give feedback of things that I have tried out & what I think is worth trying. Since working at Sephora I have tried out many products that I either like, hate, or just can do without. I want to be able to just share my thoughts with others who share the same interests as I do.
Hope you guys enjoy!

xoxo Kim :)

Clarisonic Mia?

I was at work doing shipment when I came across the Clarisonic Mia. I have heard really good reviews about this product, from youtube and my co-workers. They all seem to love it! Retails for $149. Debating if I need it or if I just want it. It's waterproof...so you can leave it in the shower! My co-workers and my manager says that it even helps with people who are super oily (like me)..that it helps control your oils. It even helps clear acne spots too! I guess I'll wait til Friday to really see if I need it. What do you think?

Nail Polish Review: Merino Cool by Essie

Picked this up at my local CVS for $8.29 I believe. This was my first Essie nail polish I bought. It's a dupe for Sephora by OPI Metro Chic. They are both really similiar. I really like this nail polish, goes on nice. I used a simple base coat, 2 coats of Merino Cool and my favorite top coat Out the Door Top Coat. Literally dries in minutes. I'll do a review on it next maybe.
